After a loooong Christmas break we are finally getting back into the swing of things here. Eddie has resumed speech therapy and his tutor Collen is coming to the house again. This past week he played with shaving cream(yes...he did lots more with her but this was the primary activity). He knows all his colors and lots of his shapes so she worked at trying to get him to draw his shapes in the shaving cream. Every now and then he would run up to me with a hand full of shaving cream and pretend that he was going to smear it all over me.He didn't though. He was just teasing. I love how his personality is really starting to shine through. He is a very playful little boy and MUCH to our disdain he is QUITE the actor. Hopefully he'll learn to speak because he's very good....too good.
He is making progress. It is VERY slow...but definitely there. He made lots of sounds over Christmas and he's very willing to try new sounds...he just doesn't always get them. The other day Ed and I joked with him that he was our little French baby because he was laying in bed giggling saying "vous" "vous"......maybe we are trying to teach him the wrong language?
